Colombo, Jan 07 (Daily Mirror) Four Sri Lankan cricketers joined with the Sri Lanka Police after representing the Police Cricket Club since last year.
Accordingly, Kusal Janith Perera and Chamara Silva have taken on roles as Chief Police Inspectors, while Ashen Bandara and Nuwan Pradeep have joined as Police Inspectors.
The players represent Sri Lanka Police Cricket team which achieved joint champion status in the recently concluded Sri Lanka Cricket first-class competition.
Public Security Minister Tiran Alles presents official appointment letters to the four cricketers joining the Sri Lanka Police, witnessed by Acting IGP Deshabandu Tennakoon.

Police Minister and Acting IG both have skeletons in their cupboards that need Police investigation. As long as they stay in their respective offices such investigations are not possible. If they have nothing to hide they must step down for the investigations to happen

I thought when one joins any of the armed forces be in Navy, Air Force, Army or Police, they have to start from the bottom and go into intense training before they are even accepted into the force they have singed up with and that too they start from the bottom ranks, not straight into a senior position. Looks like rigging still continues SHAME, this is why the COUNTRY IS IN A SINK HOLE AND WILL CONTINUE TO STAY IN THERE, UNLESS WE WIPE OUT ALL CORRUPTION STARTING FROM THOSE RULING THE COUNTRY, TO THE PUBLIC SECTOR AND THEN ONTO THE PRIVATE SECTOR.

Police had a three tier recruitment system how come appointments as Inspectors. This is the biggest insult to the Police Department.. Where is the Procedure? Can any Tom or Jerry become a Senior Police Officer with no Qualifications,no Knowledge ????
