Fire brigade emergency hotline unavailable; call 117

Colombo, July 11 (Daily Mirror) - The Fire and Rescue Department’s emergency hotline is temporarily out of service, the authorities announced.

Members of the public are requested to contact the Disaster Management Centre’s emergency hotline 117 to report any fire incidents until further notice.

The Disaster Management Centre said arrangements are being made to restore the Fire Brigade’s emergency communication service as soon as possible.
