Father arrested over alleged murder of son

Colombo, January. 3 (Daily Mirror) - A father has been arrested over the alleged murder of his 14-year-old son in Nuriya Watte in the Nuriya police division.

Police had received information that a child was being assaulted and when they visited the place they had found a boy lying near a house.

He was pronounced dead on admission to the Nuriya Hospital.

The body was sent to the Avissawella Hospital for a post mortem examination.

The boy's father was arrested on suspicion of the murder.
