Fallen trees and flooding block several roads in Colombo

Several parts of Colombo have been impacted by the adverse weather conditions sweeping across the island, with reports of flooding and fallen trees disrupting road access, the Police said.

According to the statement, multiple roads have been blocked, causing significant traffic delays. Police urge motorists to use alternative routes until clearance operations are completed.

The roads currently affected are:

• Premasiri Khemadasa Mawatha and Keppetipola Mawatha, near Lionel Theatre
• National Hospital Gate 4
• Elvitigala Mawatha
• Queen’s Road Junction
• Kotahena Armor Barber Junction, near the temple
