Fair weather today in most areas

Colombo, Jan 17 (Daily Mirror) - Fair weather will prevail in most areas of the island except in the Eastern, Uva and Central Provinces, the Forecasting Division of the National Meteorological Centre said.

However, they said a few showers may occur in the Eastern, Uva and Central Provinces during the day.

Misty conditions can be expected at some places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and North Western Provinces and in the Galle and Matara districts during the morning.

Mainly, fair weather will prevail in the sea areas around the island, except for a few showers in the sea areas from Matara to Trincomalee via Pottuvil.

The winds will be north-easterly, the wind speed will be 30 kmph, and the sea areas around the island will be slightly rough.
