Fair weather over the island today: Met. Dept.

The Meteorology Department announced today that mainly fair weather would prevail over most parts of the country.

However, misty conditions could be expected in the Central, Sabaragamuwa, Uva, and Western provinces, as well as in Galle, Matara, Batticaloa, and Ampara districts during the morning.

Meanwhile, the wind speed in the sea areas around the island would be around 20 to 30 km/h.

Wind speeds of up to 50km/h may be experienced in the sea the areas off the coast extending from Mannar to Colombo via Puttalam and off the coast extending from Galle to Pottuvil via Hambantota.
