Duplication road cleared for traffic
Duplication Road Colombo 3 was cleared for traffic a short while ago, the Colombo Municipal Council (CMC) said.
No one has been injured though the tree in front of the Trade Ministry fell on some vehicles.
This is the second tree to fall in Kollupitiya during the last few weeks. The CMC, State Ministry of Defence and other institutions earlier decided to carry out research to determine vulnerable trees in Colombo City after five people were killed as a result of a fallen tree earlier on Duplication Road in Colombo.
