ANURADHAPURA (Daily Mirror)- A doctor of the Anuradhapura Divisional Health Services Director’s office was arrested on suspicion of causing sexual harassment to a woman who called over at his private medical centre at Puliyankulama for treatment.

Police arrested him during investigations into a complaint received from a 29-year-old woman in the area.

He was produced before the court and released on personal bail of Rs. 200,000 and his passport was impounded.

Every private medical centres should be monitored , doctors sexually harassing female patients visiting alone is very common all over the world.

It is not very uncommon among doctors.. Many doctors do it.. Only very few reported and then only very very few came out to media.

May be to get a quickie without charging the patient or involving with Nurses or matrons to recommend a promotion. This will be always their bcos the name "doctor" will be tarnised if done outside and getting caught.
