Oppositions Leader Sajith Premadasa today informed Parliament that the Executive Presidency should be abolished this week, if possible.
“There should be no voice in Parliament, apart from the voice heard from the streets. The people want a change in government and that the Parliament must understand it," he informed Parliament.
He said the proposal to abolish the Executive Presidency must be brought to Parliament this week.
The Opposition Leader said that they will not accept any ministerial position, and power will only be obtained with the blessings of the people.
"SJB will not come to take portfolios. Do not make deals with MPs to gather your 113. That will not serve any purpose," he said.(DSB and YP)
