Diesel cargo arrives; Minister

A consignment of diesel arrived early this morning at the Colombo ports and the quality sample checking process is underway, Power and Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekera said.

He said the second ship carrying diesel will also arrive later today and the similar procedure will follow before unloading and distribution could commence.

"First shipment freighting petrol will be due on 18 or 19. Payments have been duly settled for these three shipments," the minister tweeted.
