Colombo, April 20 (Daily Mirror) - The one-month general amnesty period announced by the Defence Ministry today will not be applicable to commissioned officers who do not report for duty without leave.
Accordingly, the general amnesty will be in force till May 20 for members of the armed forces who do not report for duty without leave.
Moreover, the amnesty period is valid only for other ranks of the armed forces who have not reported for duty without leave on or before December 31, 2023.
Those who report during the general amnesty period will be legally dismissed.
