Death toll rises to 13 in Anguruwatota elders’ home fire

Colombo, June 5 (Daily Mirror) - The death toll from the fire at the ‘Senehase Kedella’ elders' home in Batagoda, Anguruwatota has risen to 13, after another victim succumbed to severe burn injuries while receiving treatment in hospital.

The tragic incident occurred on June 3, when a fire broke out at the facility, trapping residents inside the building. 

Hospital sources said five more individuals are under treatment for critical injuries sustained in the blaze.
