Daily fuel distribution increased during festive season: Kanchana

Arrangements have been made to increase the volume of fuel distribution during the festive season, Power and Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekara said today.

He tweeted that 4650 MT of Petrol 92 and 5500 MT of Auto Diesel will be distributed per day.

Meanwhile, he said that data from the last 7 days of fuel sales show a significant improvement and sales through the National Fuel Pass QR system," he tweeted.

"Overall percentage which was below 60% last week has improved to above 80% with the temporary suspension of 66 fuel stations, that did not adhere to the NFP QR guidelines.
