The Expressway Traffic Police have arrested a police constable for causing an accident while riding a motorcycle on the Southern Expressway.

Police said the suspect was found to have been drunk.

It was reported that he entered the expressway at the Kotelawala entrance and was riding towards Kottawa defying police orders, crashed with a car while returning to Kadawatha.

The incident which was filmed on a mobile phone gone viral on social media.(DSB)
