Commander Chaminda Walakuluge returns to head Naval Media

Colombo, July 03 (Daily Mirror) Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy has appointed Commander (N) Chaminda Walakuluge as the new Director of Naval Media with effect from July 1, 2026.

Commander Walakuluge succeeds the previous Director of Naval Media and will oversee the Navy's media relations and public communications. He brings extensive experience to the role, having previously served as the Sri Lanka Navy's official Media Spokesperson in 2017.
