The Commissioner General of Motor Traffic announced that the circular allowing the use of decorations and accessories on passenger buses has been cancelled.

The earlier circular was issued on June 2, 2023. However, a new circular suspending it has now been released and will come into effect from September 9, 2025.

Bus operators have been instructed to adhere to the updated regulations.

When ever a major accident happens the foolish officials just go after removing stickers and various gadgets attched to bus. Instead ban the import of such items and raid and fine sellers. This way the issue will get sorte out. Acutual problem is not this. Reduce the tax imposed on tyres an vehicle maintenance parts so that owners will replace parts on time.

A great decision! This "paadada" or vulgar culture must be changed. Public transport buses should all have the same features or colours so that some sort of respect and uniformity can be maintained. And there must be rules that govern conductor and driver appearance and behaviour. Another thing is introducing the card system to get rid of conductord, and doors opening and closing for passengers to get on and off. If they don't invest in those, ask them to find another job.

It's high time that the Authorities check the busses for their overall service history on regular basis in order that they are well maintained - oil change, etc

These decorations / loud music / mobile night clubs / mobile temples are annoying to see the least. End up with a serious migraine by the time we arrive at our destination.

The unwanted decorations and accessories should be removed from the buses plying to the various destinations throughout the country. Because of these accessories.that are connected to the windscreens sometimes the passengers are confused to find out the required places where they wish to go off the buses. Besides some drivers are constantly get used to operate audio and radio devices along with the deafening sound that can cause immense inconvenience to the passengers. Therefore the proper legal framework should be introduced forthwith so that the passengers are protected from these unwanted accessories

They need to stop playing music in all buses. Its noise pollution and public inconvenience. Only drug addicts can enjoy the kind of music those are being played in that volume. I think most of these bus drivers and conductors are deaf. Why cannot the authorities understand what a delicate organ the ear drum is. Stupidity.

Kudos to the government and authorities !!! This was a long due urgent matter where all previous administrators failed addressed . Hectic and hazardous decos and Sounds / horns not only great threats to people's lives , you name it .. it has all forms of pollution. The culture its creates will destroy the generations . Just look at the music, lights , horns , Decorations and imagine the Driver / conductor / owner state of mind !!! Do you really think they care for lives or our youngsters ?????
