Cabinet sub-committee appointed to look into effects of cricket interim committee

COLOMBO (Daily Mirror)- It has been decided to appoint a Cabinet sub-committee headed by Minister of Foreign Affairs Ali Sabry to determine the effects of the interim committee appointed by Sports Minister Roshan Ranasinghe, sources from the President’s office said.

The other members of the committee include Ministers Tiran Alles, Manusha Nanayakkara and Kanchana Wijesekera.

The main task of this committee is to see that Sri Lankan Cricket is least affected by the interim committee.

The Minister of Sports appointed an interim committee headed by former Sri Lankan captain Arjuna Ranatunga to restore Sri Lankan cricket earlier during the day.

Regardless of the committee, it is very sickening to hear that certain individuals were paid $120,00.00 per month if it is true. Our country is bleeding as we speak and to allow such a thing to happen is very disturbing.

Same politicians who cannot run the country is appointed as sub-committee. Obvious failure nothing will be achieved. Leave the players alone play and win the price money on their own accord. No need to have a selector, coach team managers etc. after all adding cost to the country. Public will sponsor their air tickets.
