Colombo, April 2 (Daily Mirror) - Cabinet approval was granted to implement a programme to provide sanitary pads free of charge annually from April 2024 to 800,000 female students studying in most remote schools.

The sanitary pads will be distributed among 1.2 million female students who have attained age in remote, isolated, estate and urban schools attended by poor female students.

The total student population in Sri Lanka amounts to four million.

Or what a sympathy , the ruler who brought this country to a situation where children couldn’t go to school as the prices from books to shoes are very expensive and the young girls avoid going to schools when they are on periods as the prices of Sanitary napkins went up beyond their reach . Now suddenly when the election is on the horizon he has become a very generous person . Boy this had work in the past but this time you will be chased out when the election is held for sure since the people are very angry with you.
