COPE accuses NSB of failing to wind up Daya Group of Companies

Colombo , Feb 19 (Daily Mirror) - Leader of the House Bimal Ratnayake in Parliament today proposed a debate on non performing loans at the National Savings Bank (NSB). 

This was proposed when the Committee on Public Enterprises (COPE) Chairman Nishatha Samaraweera found fault with the NSB for failing to wind up the Daya Group of Companies as ordered by the judiciary. 

He also said another company, RPI Pvt Ltd, had defaulted nine million US dollars.
