Former Minister Mervyn Silva has been arrested by the Criminal Investigations Department today in connection with forcibly entering Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation (SLRC) in 2007.

Mervyn Silva, the then Labour minister and his aides were accused of assaulting the SLRC news Director.

Police said the former minister was arrested over the investigations into the incident. (DSB)
