Badulla train derails disrupting services
The express train from Colombo Fort to Badulla had derailed between Talawakele and Watagoda stations at around 5:00 p.m., the Railways Department said.
They said the train had left Colombo Fort at 09.45 a.m.
Only the observation compartment of the train had been derailed. Therefore, the train services on the main line had been disrupted. (Chaturanga Pradeep Samarawickrama)
