Army Commander granted one-year service extension

No it’s not right. There is no state of emergency. Once retirement age reached, the person should be retired. No one is indispensable in this world. The ball should roll on. In western countries, even the top doctors, surgeons have to retire at the retirement age.

These extensions should be made until the age of 65. This saves taxpayers a lot of money. If new commanders are appointed and then promoted every year, higher salaries and pension payments are constantly incurred.
