Announcement made using loudspeaker to find Rajitha



Colombo, August 21 (Daily Mirror) - The Officials from the Colombo Magistrate’s Court today put up a written proclamation on former Minister Rajitha Senaratne's residence, directing him to appear before court on August 29 under Section 60(1) of the Code of Criminal Procedure.

The officials also made an announcement using loudspeaker at his residence in Thalahena, Malabe.

Colombo Chief Magistrate Thanuja Lakmali Jayathunga on Wednesday ordered the Bribery Commission to publish a written proclamation on former Minister Rajitha Senaratne, who is alleged to be evading court, directing him to appear before court on August 29 under Section 60(1) of the Code of Criminal Procedure.

The order was issued following a motion filed before the Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court by the investigating officer and the Assistant Director of the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption, seeking such a directive.
