All arrangements in place to implement QR code system from Aug.1



All arrangements set to implement the QR code system under the National Fuel Pass portal from August 1, Information and Communication Technology Agency of Sri Lanka (ICTA) Chairman Jayantha de Silva said.

After implementing the system, more issues relate to refuelling will be solved and the unnecessary queues will be eliminated.

Accordingly, sevwral CEYPETCO and Lanka Indian Oil Company (LIOC) filling stations will be replaced with the new system, he said.

It has decided to seek the assistance of the police to check whether the QR system is adopted properly.

To ensure that, a policeman will be assigned at each filling station along with the pump attendant from Monday. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)
