Actor Gamini Samarakoon passes away

Colombo, July 1 (Daily Mirror) - Popular stage, teledrama and film actor Gamini Samarakoon passed away today.

Samarakoon became a household name for his memorable role in the stage drama 'Tharawo Igilethi'. He also appeared in several teledramas, including 'Tharadevi' and 'Eka Mawakage Daruwo'.

In addition to his stage and television career, he acted in the film 'Alu Yata Gindara'.

Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
