Abduction of two businessmen: IP remanded

Inspector of Police (IP) Kapila Nishantha, who was arrested by the CID yesterday over the abduction of two businessmen in Rathgama, was remanded till February 27 by the Galle Magistrate’s Court today.

The IP, who is attached to the Southern Province Special Investigation Unit, was reportedly involved in the abduction of two businessmen on January 23 with some unidentified men who were clad in a dress similar to the police uniform.
