A/L admission card amendments open online until Aug. 3



Colombo, July 24 (Daily Mirror) - The candidates sitting the 2026 G.C.E. Advanced Level (A/L) Examination can make amendments to their admission cards online until 12.00 midnight on August 3, stressing that the deadline will not be extended, the Examinations Department said.

Department Commissioner General A.K.S. Indika Kumari Liyanage said the 2026 G.C.E. (A/L) Examination will be held from August 10 to September 5 at 2,532 examination centres across the country.

The Department said admission cards of school candidates have been handed over to the respective Zonal Education Offices, and school principals should collect them from the Deputy or Assistant Director of Education in charge of examinations in their zones.

Admission cards of private candidates have been sent by post to their personal addresses.

School candidates requiring amendments to their admission cards should access the Department of Examinations website using the username and password provided to school principals and make the necessary corrections online.

Private candidates can make amendments by visiting the same website and entering their National Identity Card (NIC) number.

The Department emphasized that no further extension will be granted after the August 3 deadline.
