ADB President arrives in Sri Lanka



Colombo, March 23 (Daily Mirror) - President of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), Masato Kanda, arrived in Sri Lanka on an official visit this morning (23).

In a post shared on X, Kanda described his visit as taking place at a “critical moment” in Sri Lanka’s transition. He said he was warmly received at the airport by Minister of Labour and Deputy Minister of Finance, Anil Jayantha Fernando.

Kanda noted that his visit will focus on engaging with government officials, the private sector, and local communities to better understand priorities for the country’s next phase of development.
