A total of 80 vacant Senior Medical Administration posts in the health sector that were vacant for the past two years have been filled by the Health Ministry, Dr. P. G. Mahipala said.
While issuing a letter, he said the list includes Colombo National Hospital Deputy Director Dr. Rukshan Bellana.

Well done. There should be no vacant posts. In any department if a post falls vacant or going to be vacant, immediately it should be advertised, interviews held and person appointed. There are always eligible people for all posts. Politics should not interfere in such appointments. In the western world no politician gets involved in filling up posts especially medical posts.
