7 companies submit EOIs for refinery in Hambantota

Seven companies have submitted Expressions of Interest (EOIs) for the proposed new refinery in Hambantota by the deadline yesterday, Power and Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekera said.
 
Accordingly, Grant & Shearer Ltd, Lagos from Nigeria, China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation  (Sinopec), Malaysian Petrichor Capital Sdn.Bhd, Singaporian Vitol Group, Iranian Matin Tejarat Co., Sri Lanka and UAE based Harree Management Services (Pvt) Ltd with Marka Invest, Abhudhabi and local company Dandeniya Engineering Sales & Service Syndicate have submitted EOIs.
 
The minister said the technical evaluation committee and other procurement committees will evaluate EOIs and issue the RFPs to suitable applicants.
