Colombo, Nov.30 (Daily Mirror) - Under the programme of rooftop solar power electrical installation implemented for consumers, a total of 483 million units of electricity were added to the national grid from January to September 30, 2023, Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) media spokesman Noel Priyantha said.
He said that customers across the country have extended their support to this unique national cause.
“It should be appreciated that consumers have turned to selling electricity to the national system by getting a new technological experience away from the traditional method of using electricity,” the spokesman said.

Hey America, if you're a true friend, consider lending a helping hand to Sri Lanka's renewable energy efforts! While Puerto Rico is in the spotlight, why not shine a little light on us too? We're happy to be guinea pigs for this project. Redirecting all US aid to support our renewable energy sector could be a game-changer, benefiting both nations and the planet. Let's join forces for a brighter, greener future.
