3,200 posters of UPFA candidate confiscated

Some 3,200 posters, printed by a UPFA candidate in violation of election laws, were taken into custody by the police and election officers at Akuressa.

Police said the posters were seized from the Akuressa Pradeshiya Sabha cafeteria following a tip off received by the Matara Additional Elections Commissioner.

Akuressa Police are investigating. (LSP)
