30% bus fare increase, Minimum fare increased to Rs.40 from July 1
Following a meeting at the Transport Ministry, it has been decided to increase the bus fares by 30% while raising the minimum fare to Rs.40 from July 1.
The decision was taken following a discussion held at the Ministry today between Transport Minister Bandula Gunawardana, the National Transport Commission (NTC), Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) and private bus owners. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)
