2025 A/L practical exams schedule announced

Colombo, Feb. 27 (Daily Mirror) - The Examinations Department has announced the schedule for the practical tests of the 2025 General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level) Examination.

Accordingly, practical tests for candidates who sat the written examination in Engineering Technology will be conducted islandwide from March 6 to 15, 2026.

The Department said  that practical examinations for Subject No. 52 – Dance (Local), Subject No. 53 – Dance (Indian), Subject No. 54 – Music (Oriental), and Subject No. 55 – Music (Carnatic) will be held from March 9 to 16, 2026.

Meanwhile, practical tests for Subject No. 56 – Music (Western), Subject No. 57 – Drama and Performing Arts (Sinhala), Subject No. 58 – Drama and Performing Arts (Tamil), and Subject No. 59 – Drama and Performing Arts (English) are also scheduled to take place from March 9 to 16, 2026.

The Department further said that admission cards of school candidates have already been forwarded to the respective school principals, while admission cards of private candidates will be sent by post to the addresses provided in their applications.

Candidates will also be able to download their admission cards from the Department’s official website seven days prior to the commencement of the practical examinations.
