18 injured as bus crashes into tree

A bus crashed into a tree at the village of Thelembiyagama in Kekirawa today after the driver lost control of the vehicle and it veered off the road.

Eighteen people including an infant, fifteen school children and three adults were injured in the incident.

Three children who sustained serious injuries have been admitted to the Anuradhapura hospital.

The Kekirawa police have arrested  the driver of the bus.
