No doubt It is a very noble gesture by the President for 66th Independence day of the country. But Mr President , there thousands of poor convicts currently sitting in jails all over Sri Lanka due to bad legal representation deserve same mercy or at least new trials. We all know how ill prepared our lawyers are during a trial.
