11 train services cancelled due to strike
A total of eleven train services including office trains which were scheduled to operate this morning were cancelled following trade union action staged by railway employees, the Railway Department said.
Railway Department's Deputy General Manager N.J. Indipolage said five trains on the mainline, two train services on the Kelani Valley and Coastal lines, one on the nothern line and chillaw line were not operated.
Railway employees commenced the trade union action last evening (23). (Chaturanga Pradeep Samarawickrama)
