St. Sebastian’s College Skipper Tharusha Fernando became the second batsman to reach the milestone of 1,000 runs this season during their drawn Under-19 Inter-schools cricket match against Wesley College which concluded at Moratuwa yesterday.
Tharusha reached his milestone from 17 matches facing 26 innings which included a dozen of half centuries.
Meanwhile, Royal College Colombo advanced into the quarterfinals of the Under-19 Division Two Cricket Tournament with a comfortable first innings win over Debarawewa National School in their pre quarter-final encounter concluded at Reid Avenue yesterday. At Moratuwa (Match drawn)
