St. Peter’s College Colombo recorded an easy 141-run win over St. John’s College Jaffna in an Under 19 inter-school limited over encounter played at Bambalapitiya yesterday.
St. Peter’s taking first lease of the wicket made a modest score of 225 for 8 and then bowled out St. John’s for a low score of 84 runs.
At Bambalapitiya – St. Peter’s won by 141 runs
St. Peter’s 225 for 8 in 50 overs (Vinuda Liyanage 45, Shanshay Gunatileke 39, Lahiru Chethaka 38, Shenal Boteju 24, Wanuja Kumara 22: Selvathas Anton 3 for 60)
St. John’s Jaffna 84 in 22.1 overs (Theiventhiran Dinoshan 34: Chamelker de Silva 3 for 14, Vinuda Liyanage 3 for 30, Christian de Zilwa 2 for 13)
