Witness that glorious moment when all Sri Lankans rejoiced as one and where our very own, Captain Cool, Arjuna Ranatunga was bestowed the ultimate honour in international cricket from the then Pakistan Premier, the late Benazir Bhutto, exactly 25 years ago when crowned as the Wills World Cup Champs 1996 at the Ghaddafi Stadium, Lahore, Pakistan.
Sit down with legends of the 1996 win as the re-telecast, powered by Sri Lanka’s premier connectivity provider, Dialog Axiata PLC, will also feature an exclusive studio segment with a few stars of the 1996 team and more from 3.00 to 4.30 pm as they take you ball-by-ball, recounting the most memorable moments of the match for the first time together as a team in almost two decades.
