ACL Cables fully-owned subsidiary Cable Solutions (PVT) Ltd. gains world renowned German TUV certification for solar cables production

ACL Cables PLC, Sri Lanka's no.1 cable manufacturer announced recently that its fully owned subsidiary Cable Solutions (Pvt) Ltd has gained world renowned German TUV certification for the production of solar cables.
Importantly, Cable Solutions is now the only company in Sri Lanka to manufacture solar cables whilst possessing the TUV certification. 

Formally known as TÜV Rheinland, this certification stands for safety and quality in virtually all areas of business and life. To obtain the TUV certification, a sampling of Cable Solutions product was tested and found to meet the necessary requirements of the German Equipment and Product Safety Act.  This certification affirms that solar cables produced by Cable Solutions meets the defined criteria and required safety aspects.

Commenting on this landmark achievement Pawan Tejwani, Managing Director Cable Solutions (Pvt) Ltd said, “We are proud to be part of the ACL Group and hope to take this synergy a long way forward. Cable Solutions commenced the production and supply of solar cables a year ago and has currently expanded supplies to international markets such as Europe, India, Australia, New Zealand, and the Middle East etc. 
Cable Solutions has its production centers in Sri Lanka and India. The main production facility is in Sri Lanka and is located in the Flinth Industrial Park, a state-of-the-art industrial environment set up by Swedcord Development, Sweden. 

The production plant at Cable Solutions is equipped with electroplating plants, fine wire drawing machines, high speed double twist bunches, thermoplastic extrusion lines, cable twisting machines, wire braiding machines, rewinding machines and many more significant and state-of the art manufacturing facilities meeting international standards. 

“Ensuring we follow an ecofriendly concept, Cable Solutions promotes the use of solar energy in power consumption promoting a healthy environment and reducing cost incurred through other fuel powered energy sources. Going forward, we expect to further improve our sphere in solar cables and become the leader in the local solar cable market. The recognized test marks are validation that product-specific quality has been checked by an independent third party.
