Government is requesting fair and impartial hearing on Human Right violations. UNHRC is pointing out transparency and accountability of our activities. Who are fooling whom? The recently, issued Action Plan for implementing the LLRC recommendations is very questionable since in this so call NAP submitted to the US government has not been mentioned any single word about the Independent Police Commission since without this there will be no free and fair election in the country.

As Mr. Samarasinghe stated the reconciliation process is has unique qualities of Sri Lanka. In hat light Sri Lanka should look at similar nations which share similar aspects to Sri Lanka. Island nations have a personality of it's own and some answers to Sri Lanka's reconciliation process can be found in nations like Ireland as mentioned in the article of Buddhist nations who have gone through a similar crisis. But Sri Lanka cannot fall into the trap India is in and that is try to emulate China whose communist/capitalist system of governance cannot be replicated in India. In a similar manner Sri Lanka a Buddhist nation with a written history has few choices around the world to take examples. It is after all uniquely Sri Lankan.
