The 136th birth anniversary of United National Party (UNP) founder Mahamanya D. S. Senanayake was commemorated at Sri Dharmakeerthyarama (Polwatta Temple) in Kollupitiya last morning.  

The commemoration was held with the participation of UNP Deputy Leader Ruwan Wijewardene by garlanding the statue of the late Prime Minister at the temple.  Religious observances were conducted by Chief Incumbent Ven. Bandarawela Wimaladharma Thera.
