The railway trade unions called off their trade union action following a discussion with the transport Minister a short while ago.
Locomotive Engine Operators' Union (LEOU) Secretary Indika Dodangoda said a committee chaired by the Transport Ministry Secretary was appointed by the Minister to review the demands of the trade unions.
The LEOU and the Railway Guards' Union had launched a strike last night over several demands including the decision of the government to recover the losses from the railway employees for the operational errors that occur during the operation of trains. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)

Story will be this ,minister promises to discuss the greviences in the cabinet, so called off the strike till minister comes back to them ,but wait for the next time when minister comes with empty hand.We are used to this pattern even railway employees too know this game.
