The Disaster Management Centre (DMC) today alerted that the water levels at several gauging stations of five rivers have reached flood level.
Accordingly, gauging stations at Hanwella of the Kelani river, Ratnapura and Kalawellawa (Millakanda) of the Kalu river and Kuda river, Panadugama of Nilwala river and Dunamale of Attanagalu Oya have reached the flood level.
Therefore, the DMC requested the public living in the low-lying areas to be vigilant of possible floods. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)
