Reigning Mrs. World Caroline Jurie, uncrowned Mrs. Sri Lanka Pushpika De Silva and National Director of Mrs. Sri Lanka for Mrs. World pageant, Chandimal Jayasingha all arrived at the Cinnamon Gardens Police a short while ago to give a statement after Pushpika lodged a complaint yesterday over the incident on Sunday.
Jurie is presently being questioned by the police while Chandimal and Pushpika are also at the Police Station.
Jurie's brother who arrived with her told the media that Jurie will hold a media briefing within the course of the day to expose the truth and provide details of what happened on Sunday night.
Chandimal himself has organized a press briefing today afternoon along with the judges where the Mrs. Sri Lanka crown will be returned back to Pushpika. (Darshana Sanjeewa Balasuriya)
