New COPE Chairman Sunil Handunetti said yesterday said COPE would summon officials of SriLankan airlines and Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) to COPE next week.
"We will continue with our work despite the possible dissolution of Parliament during the first week of March," he said.
Mr. Handunnetti said COPE understood that directors and heads have not been appointed to some state institutions and this fact will be taken into consideration when deciding on who will be summoned during the next few days.
He said COPE would also focus on the forensic audit of the Central Bank bond scam. "It is difficult to study this report as the anextures run into 10,000 pages but we will focus on it," Mr. Handunnetti said.
Revealing another decision taken at yesterday's meeting, he said ministers who were members of COPE would not be allowed to attend meetings when it probes institutions that come under their respective ministries. (Yohan Perera and Ajith Siriwardana)

Will he ask for a free ticket to Indonesia to go on another spree with Ranjan? Shame on Sri Lanka.

Let's hope that the NEW COPE copes better with the investigations than the OLD COPE! E.g. Bond scam
