The weapon which was taken away from an Army soldier was found in a house in Kekirawa this afternoon, Military Spokesman Brigadier Chandana Wickramasinghe said.
He said that the weapon was recovered in the house of an Army deserter following information received by Army Intelligence.
Earlier, the SLA Soldier was admitted to the Anuradhapura Army Base Hospital with injuries to his neck and later transferred to the Vavuniya Hospital.
