All state ceremonies scheduled for next two weeks have been suspended due to the prevailing COVID-19 situation in the country, the President’s Media Division said.
Meanwhile, all private sector functions, meetings and parties scheduled for next two weeks have also been banned under quarantine regulations.

Is this to prevent May day rallies planned by some political parties and trade unions? If the government had controlled the gathering of public during the new year celebrations this present situation wouldn't have happened. As usual the government goes from the answer to the problem.
