Orange Information Technology, the biggest company in the knowledge process outsourcing (KPO) business process outsourcing (BPO) and IT services industry in Sri Lanka, has come forward to partner with Infotel 2016 as the Gold sponsor.
Organised by the Federation of Information Technology Industry Sri Lanka (FITIS), Infotel is South Asia’s oldest and most prestigious information and communication technology (ICT) exposition. This year’s event is scheduled to be held from November 11 to 13, at the BMICH, under the theme ‘Empowering digital citizens’.
Expressing his views on the tie-up, Orange IT Vice President Upendra Pieris observed, “As a leading Sri Lankan company, Orange IT has undertaken two national level commitments on behalf of the country and is now working towards making them a reality. One is earning more valuable foreign exchange for the country and the other is generating more new employment opportunities for our youth. Within a short span of five years, we generated 1,500 new job opportunities for young men and women. We are optimistic of doubling this number to reach a target of 3,000 next year (2017).’’
“Deeply conscious of its bounden duty towards the community at large, Orange IT has initiated a series of corporate social responsibility (CSR) projects. By extending its hand to support Infotel 2016 as its Gold sponsor, the company has taken yet another significant step towards continuing its dedicated service to the nation in a bigger way.”
Orange IT was established in 2010 as part of Orel Corporation (Pvt.) Limited offering both onshore and offshore outsourcing and consultancy services specialized in IT-enabled services, and BPO solutions from Sri Lanka, with a guarantee on incising costs and improving quality.
As a leading reputed corporate in Sri Lanka, Orel Corporation (Pvt.) Limited manufactures a signature range of top quality, world-class electrical products, which have won the trust and confidence of a wide circle of clients over the past 30 years.
